Power Control has been shortlisted for the SDC awards
Power Control Ltd is thrilled to have been announced as finalists in the renowned SDC awards in one of their prestigious Storage, Digitalisation and Cloud categories.
Now in its tenth year, the SDC Awards consists of many broad categories divided into six themes, allowing companies to receive recognition for their work in the IT sector.
As a leading critical infrastructure projects provider, Power Control entered into, and has been shortlisted for the Hybrid Infrastructure Project of the Year for its role in operationalising an innovative, off-grid and emission free hydrogen fuel cell which was used to charge electric vehicles (EV) at a recent UK car festival.
The hydrogen fuel cell required an energy efficient micro-grid to provide a ‘dummy’ load in order for it to startup and for the inverter to recognise the grid. The micro-grid was made up of 2x125kVA Borri Ingenio Plus UPS systems which feature green conversion technology and also caters for a sudden increase in load demand. Whilst it would have been possible to use a generator to provide the grid connection, the focus of this project was to deliver green energy in an innovative way.
After winning the New Design/Build Data Centre of the Year category of the esteemed DCS Awards earlier in the year for a future proofed, modular UPS installation, Power Control is delighted to have been recognised for another one of its forward thinking critical power projects.
The voting is now live and closes on the 15th of November 2019. To vote please visit sdcawards.com/vote The winners will be announced during the event which takes place on the 27th November 2019 at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, London.
