Complete solution installed within 48 hours.
A long standing relationship and previous experience of Power Control Ltd’s exceptional service made it the only partner choice for TClarke when it was required to deliver a complete Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) solution in under 48 hours.
The internationally renowned building services contractor was enlisted by one of its customers to provide a replacement back-up power solution for a central data centre. Located in the heart of one of the UK’s nominated environment cities, the data centre houses critical information for all those that live in and visit the city – any power failure could have catastrophic results.
TClarke placed the order with Power Control late on a Friday evening. The order comprised of an online double conversion B9000FXS 160kVA UPS unit, batteries and DC isolator. Power Control was also required to remove the old UPS system and deliver, position, install and commission the new one.
The solution and results
Working in conjunction with TClarke and fibre optic infrastructure builder, which has a prominent position on site, Power Control’s highly skilled team of engineers completed all works and commissioning by Sunday evening.
Designed and manufactured in Italy, the Borri B9000FXS UPS range from Power Control is an ultra high efficiency, transformer based solution and has a TÜV efficiency certification of up to 95%. As one of the most resilient backup power supply solutions on the market, Borri B9000FXS UPS systems are used in critical data centres infrastructures all over the world.
With a relationship spanning almost a decade, Power Control is committed to Borri three-phase UPS systems technologies and is the official UK distributor for the Italian manufacturer. Power Control has a high level of engineering involvement, which is supported by it’s all encompassing service and UPS maintenance programmes and high UPS and product spares stock levels. The company also receives invaluable direct manufacturing and technical back-up from Borri Spa.
Commenting on Power Control’s recent projects, the company’s Director, Rob Mather said: “The need for added levels of power protection has never been greater. The significant rise in power disturbances, which are being further augmented by the increase in dependence on data storage and continued infrastructure growth, have meant that many are assessing their existing business continuity strategies.
Power Control’s Divisional Sales Director, Matt de Frece concluded: “We have worked tirelessly over the years to ensure that the UK market is able to recognise the supreme quality and performance of Borri three-phase UPS systems. The Borri UPS range is now regarded nationwide as one of the most resilient, efficient and high quality on the market.
“Aligned to our commitment to UPS technologies, we have also invested heavily in our service and engineering departments to ensure that our customers receive the very best quality of service throughout all their dealings with us. Our approach and diligent work ethic means we are able to complete projects with tight deadlines and complicated circumstances, such as the one we have just completed for TClarke.”
